If you haven’t bought a box of potato starch yet, here’s another reason for you to put it on the list — Pecan Pie. I reworked an old pecan pie recipe and incorporated potato starch. I can’t post the results quite yet because the pie is still in the cooling/chilling phase, but I’m optimistic based on what I’ve tasted (at jabbed at with a knife) so far. I’ll cut an actual piece later this evening and will post the recipe.
BTW. If you haven’t scrolled down yet. Potato Starch is sometimes found in the Kosher section because it is suitable for passover. I bought mine at Central Market, where I believe they keep it with the starches and flours (baking aisle).
