S’mores Bar Picture

Good Morning!

I promised I’d post a picture of the S’mores bars after they’d been cut, so here it is. I really like these a lot and will make them again soon — with the dark chocolate of course. They’re very sturdy, and if you chill them they take quite well to being stacked. I piled mine in a container and sent them away. Hopefully Todd’s co-workers will like them as much as I did.

Meanwhile, I’ve moved on to another bar cookie. I’ll post it a bit later……when it’s done.

    I made these for a group of high school aged kids, and they were a huge hit. Instead of pressing the top layer of dough on, I broke it into chunks and scattered it around like a streusel topping. When it baked, the bottom layer pushed the marshmallow up through the gaps, edged with little streaks of chocolate, for a pretty little bar.

    I’ve made these multiple times for parties, pot lucks, etc. and they are ALWAYS a hit. People are always asking for the recipe. I’ve made them as is but I’ve also made them doubling the marshmallow fluff which makes them extra gooey but so delicious!
