Mrs. Fields Top Five Cookie Finalists

by on August 20, 2007 · 5 comments

The results are in. Here are the five finalists in the Mrs. Fields 30th Anniversary Cookie Contest. Congratulations to all the finalists and good luck!

I might have to make those Seven Layer Cookies today. Then again, I’ve already made one batch of really good oatmeal cookies which I will post later.

Cindy, I agree. That was odd. I guess they were going more for taste and technique over creativity. And it would be nice if Mrs. Fields sold Seven Layer Bars.

I was going to say the 7 layer bars sound an awful lot like hello dollies.

I made the oatmeal peanut butter scotchies last night — they’re fabulous! I started second-guessing the recipe just a little when I realized there’s no flour, but they turned out great — crisp-tender, and not too sweet. They’re in contention for the “healthy” cookie in this year’s Christmas set.

Kristin, apparently it’s of the “Monster Cookie” family. Monster cookies are typicall peanut butter, oatmeal, eggs, leavening and mix-ins….no flour.

The Molasses White Chocolate Chip are by far the best looking, and most delicious sounding!
