I found this a few minutes ago while searching for an easy, creamy, not-too-tacky icebox dessert. It’s called Love My Philly which would be a little weird if the blog weren’t done by someone who seems to have some commercial ties with Philadelphia Cream Cheese. For instance, if you check out the Contest Category, you will see that this mysterious cream cheese loving person has the inside scoop on contests and giveaways. The latest is a coupon for free cream cheese.
Check it out….but only if you like cream cheese. Then again, if you hate cream cheese you could comment about that too. Either the cream cheese audience is rather taciturn or the blog doesn’t have a lot of readers yet. Or maybe they only post comments that are positive. Do you think they’d publish it if I wrote “Yuck” next to that Tasty Toaster Sandwich? That’s one I’ll pass on, thank you.
Have fun looking around. I’m sending this one to my step-mom. She loves creamsicle flavored things.
Updated! Link doesn’t work, so here’s a link to Kraft Foods Philadelphia Cream Cheese Page. I’m sure they’ll have something that calls for cream cheese.

Always fun finding new blogs :0)
Yuck is right! All I had to do was look at the picture to know something looked amiss. Once I started reading I had to wonder who managed to get that one past the editors. Gross.
I don’t know – the name of this one is tacky, but the dessert is fabulous!

Hey Anna, nice to have you back and blogging!
I have an unrelated question. My MIL brought back a huge bottle of mexican vanilla from her last trip. I about to run out of my ‘conventional’ vanilla……can I simply use that vanilla in place in all my baking? Is the taste the only difference?? How will that work?

VG, maybe you should write a comment asking when Philly is going to come out with vegan cream cheese
.
Denn, I love Boca, cream cheese and toast but not together. Blech.
Cindy, that dessert looks good but I want to do something with berries today. Unfortunately, I don’t have any berries or cream cheese, or even cream and am running out of chill time. Todd may have to eat a Klondike bar again.
Stefani, if you like the flavor it then sure. I just ran out of a huge bottle of La Vencedore Mexican vanilla. Since I have to buy it at specialty stores, I bought a bottle of name brand vanilla to use in the meantime. I am already missing my La Vencedora and need to go track some down. What brand did your mom bring back.
When you do get cream cheese, this one is also good – http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cherry-Cheesecake-Pie/Detail.aspx
I love desserts with cream cheese and I have a cook book published by Philly Cream Cheese it has great recipes – As for the better than Robert Redford I have that recipe on my site and Noble Pig did a version as well all I can say about that one is YUM it is a crowd favorite. Whenever I make it at least a couple people ask for the recipe –
Cheers

What skeeved me out about the Boca recipe wasn’t the cream cheese and the patty (I know people, not me, who like mayo on their Bocas) but the fact it was a savory hamburger with cream cheese on cinnamon raisin bread. Ick!
I’d never make the Robert Redford recipe, I’m afraid–to heavy–but I adore the name. Someone told me there is also ‘Watergate Cake’ from that era in terms of cheesy 70s nostalgia.
Cool! Thanks, I love cream cheese, especially in cheesecakes and baked goods!
I love cream cheese – cheesecake is my favorite dessert! BTW, I’ve tagged you! Have a nice weekend.
Hey, what about that eclair cake, you said Todd loves it and it’s super easy? Or did you already think of something and are just waiting to get the things you need?
I’d settle for a Klondike bar! Actually, I’m not sure I’ve ever had one.
