Happy National Pigs in a Blanket Day!

by on April 24, 2009 · 9 comments

And happy belated National Cherry Cheesecake Day as well.

In fact, I only know today is Pig in a Blanket day because I saw that I’d missed Cherry Cheesecake Day and wanted to see what today’s food holiday was so that I wouldn’t miss it too.

Is there such thing as a service that will email you every day letting you know what obscure holiday it is? I always forget to check the calendar of obscure holidays.

The Hungry Girl e-newsletter reports about these fun holidays :-)

It’s in the “Chew On This” section:

Oh I’m too late! I saw it on Hungry Girl’s site this morning too that it was NPIB day! Now I’m hungry.

I’ll admit it: I love Pigs in a Blanket. I wish I had known that it was Pigs in a Blanket day. I would’ve had them for dinner :)

http://www.nationalsushisociety.com/ says that since 1997, November 1 is “Sushi Day”. I’m sorry I missed Corn Dog Day, which was March 21st. Since that’s our wedding anniversary and my husband doesn’t like hot dogs, I guess I could have celebrated at lunch. ;-)
