The housekeepers came this morning, so I’m late with today’s recipe.   It will be a cake, and I’ll report later. But luckily it’s Wednesday and I have a few cookie bookmarks to share.

Both The Daily Herald and The San Jose Mercury wrote about blondies.  The Houston Chronicle featured a recipe for molasses cookies with coffee in them. And another site featured a Nancy Silverton recipe for Rosemary Pinenut Cookies.  And finally, dubiously, I bookmarked something about anti-aging cookies.  Ah, wouldn’t that be nice? 

And on a different note,  I haven’t forgotten about those Urth Caffe copy cat cookies. They’re on the agenda, but I still need Egg Replacers and barley flour to start testing. So check back later.

    Okay, school’s out for the summer today, so I probably won’t get to the natural foods store until Saturday now, but I swear that vegan cookie you showed is the same packaging as the ones in our store. Do they just market them to lots of places and put their logo on it for them? I’m eager to go find out, but don’t really want to take all four kids with me. Will let you know when I get there. 😉

    I’ll have to check out those links. I don’t think I ever told you that I made the CI blondies. I thought I blogged about it, but I just checked and I didn’t!! Hmmm…. I wonder if I have photos? Anyway, they were excellent. I’m so glad to have finally found a blondie recipe I like, and wouldn’t you know I had the recipe right here the whole time I was searching!

    I’m glad no one gave me a bag of anti-aging cookies for my last birthday as it would have pushed me into a deep depression. 😉 I bookmarked the Rosemary Pine Nut Cookies a few months ago, but haven’t gotten around to making them yet. It doesn’t look like it would be very sweet and might go with a glass of wine. Somewhere I have a similar recipe for a savory one that would definitely be good for cocktail hour.

    Katrina, let us know how it all pans out. I have to go to a special store for Egg Replacers and didn’t have time to do that today.

    Sue, I liked the CI blondies. They’re not as rich as some of the other recipes out there, but recipes don’t always have to be super rich to be good.

    Louise, those rosemary cookies might be worth a try. Then again, I’m not really a fan of rosemary in desserts. Sometimes it’s okay, I guess….but mostly, I like it on chicken.
