If you haven’t heard the news, the “Mix It Up With Betty!” Cookie Mix Recipe Contest has officially wrapped. The Grand Prize winner was “Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cookie Treats” by Jamie Emerson of Iowa City, IA and the Online Voters’ Choice winner was “Lime in the Coconut Frosted Cheesecake Bars” from Janice Elder of Charlotte, NC. You can check out all the winners on the Betty Crocker Cookie Contest Winners page. I’ve been on a lime kick, so I’ll probably try Janice’s first.
If you are a die-hard scratch baker, you can try converting the ideas to scratch, but if you want to follow the recipe and use the cookie mix, here’s a handy cookie mix coupon. The mix is available in Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Sugar Cookie, Oatmeal, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Walnut Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Chunk, Rainbow Chocolate Candy, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. My personal favorite is the peanut butter.

The peanut butter cookie winner on the recipe page said that the cookies were a version of her favorite snack ‘puppy chow.’ I had never heard of this dessert before!
