Since I haven’t had time to sit down and write a trip report, I thought I’d share a link from my friend Lisa who drove us out to Newtown, CT to visit our other friend, Lisa, at Fine Cooking Magazine. We had a great time and it was interesting to see just how much dedication and testing goes into each recipe.
I also got to thank them for teaching me how to make macarons. I still have some practicing to do, but after seeing all the expensive macarons in New York City, I feel good knowing that I can make them myself at home.

It was so lovely to meet you, Anna. Definitely a nice surprise on such a gloomy day! I was a little bit blog-starstruck, to be honest. I hope you enjoyed your stay in CT

Enjoyed both links Anna. Fine Cooking is an excellent magazine…I use recipes from it all the time.
Can’t wait to hear more—after laundry and vacationing from your vacation a little. I’ve decided to put making macarons on my list to do this week.
Thanks for the link. I love Fine Cooking so this sounds like a fantastic trip.
If I forgot to add anything, let me know. I should have written stuff down that night with my old brain!!!
