Fall means family and food, and if those aren’t worth celebrating, then I don’t know what is!

Fall makes me smile because, other than raking a few leaves, yard work is done for the next 5 months.

It means being able to do more with my kids outside without worrying about heat exhaustion, going on hayrides, celebrating halloween, taking my kids trickrtreating, picking pumpkins, watching football games

Fall makes me feel like celebrating because the cool temperatures and the beautiful colors of the leaves make running outdoors highly enjoyable. Plus, I no longer have to wake up super early to beat the summer heat, so I can sleep in on the weekends!

Even though I have lived in Florida for the past 41 years, and Fall weather is still very hot ….I always think back to growing up in New Jersey, loving the Fall, walking to and from school, and sloshing my feet through the beautiful multicolored leaves……..and yes, I also think about being very young and jumping into huge piles of leaves at our house. I really miss the big family dinners, laughing and sitting at the dinner table for hours………

Fall seems like a good time to celebrate because it makes me get out and enjoy the nice weather, beautiful leaves… appreciate the great outdoors!… before it gets cold outside and the days are short and I feel cooped up.

Fall means great weather (I love the cold!), beautiful leaves, pumpkin-flavored everything, baking, cozy family time…and of course the promise of Christmas just around the corner. Definitely a time of celebration!

Fall is pumpkins, harvest, beautiful colors of leaves. It’s warm weather and beautiful full moons. It’s apple and pumpkin pie smells and in our house it is pumpkin bread made and given to friends and family.

Each year the cool crisp weather of fall rekindles distant childhood memories of the magic, excitement, and anticipation of the upcoming cascade of holidays. No other season is so packed with the joys of food, friends, and family.

Anita Lotz October 21, 2013 at 10:18 pm

Fall always seems like a season of beginnings — the beginning of school, the beginning of holiday preparations, a renewed sense of connection to family and friends. And great food is a part of all of that! Once it gets a little cooler outside, I think more about baking (just can’t get into it during the hot, humid days of August). Can’t wait to try the new Pillsbury products.
