Picture of Cut Pie

A couple of years ago, I met this guy who found out I liked to take pictures of pie. He gave me a tip, which he learned while working at a diner where he had to arrange cut pie slices in a revolving pie case. “Always point the pie towards the customer because the customer will subconsciously register that the pie is pointing at them and singling them out as the one who should eat it.”

So here’s a picture of the blackberry pie. It’s pointing at you!….Ahhh!

This slice is pointing at whomever is on your right. Hope they are hungry.

The point of this (ha ha) is that this pie slices very well after being chilled. I cut the first piece last night and while it held together well enough to be served, it was beyond unattractive. Now it looks pretty good.

    I was just wondering how the pie looked from the inside! It looks wonderful! I have to make something for a breakfast tomorrow and something else for the afternoon for someone. Something from your site or something with rhubarb. Hmmmm… So many choices.

    it’s possible you won’t even notice this comment cuz it’s a couple of days old. and it really should be entered under the previous posting – but anyway – this recipe says “oatmeal” as one of the ingredients – so is that actually “cooked oatmeal” yer talking about?

    Hi TG,

    Don’t worry, I see all the comments. I get an alert whenever there is a comment, so even if you bury it somewhere back in June of 2006 I’ll get it. I changed 2/3 cup of oatmeal to 2/3 cup oats so there’d be no confusion.
