Peanut Butter Bars

If you need a little baking therapy, but don’t have the energy to go shopping for ingredients, chances are this recipe will be just the ticket. It was for me. I didn’t have chocolate chips and had to use chopped milk chocolate for the topping, but other than that there weren’t any issues and …

peanut butter topped brownies

Today’s bar cookie is for peanut butter cup fans.  While it doesn’t call for any actual peanut butter cup candies, the base is a brownie and the topping is made with the recipe people use to make homemade Reese’s type candy. peanut butter marshmallow brownies

This cookie/brownie has everything going for it — the texture, flavor, easiness. Apparently, it’s an old recipe, but I just heard about it recently. I’ve seen a few variations and after making variations on the variations, came up with this. I used an 18.3 oz box of Betty Crocker brownie mix, but I think any brand/size would do.

Peanut Butter Fudge Brownies

This recipe is from Dorie Greenspan. I halved it, and baked the brownies in an 8 inch square pan. I also upped the ratio of chocolate to butter in the ganache and omitted the nutmeg. Peanut Butter Fudge Brownies with Salted Peanuts Brownies 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temp 3 1/2 ounces bittersweet or semisweet […]
