Kelapo Coconut Oil

It’s safe to say coconut oil is my new favorite baking product. It won’t replace the flavor of butter, but I love how coconut oil makes pie crusts flakey, gives cookies crispy edges, and adds a dense, soft, moist quality to quick breads. And wouldn’t it be nice if its purported health benefits …

GiftGloss Kit

Last week The Foof Queens asked if I’d like to try a product they invented to help people wrap and style packages — a gadget that dispenses slide and tie sleeves of “GiftGloss”. “Foof” is what you add to gifts to make them eye-catching, and of course it’s how Betty and her friends got their [...]

Chocolate Cupcake

Last week a spokesperson for Cardelle LLC  asked if I’d like to try their new sweetener, Fibrelle.  Since I usually bake with sugar and detect the aftertaste in almost every artificial sweetener, I was tempted to say no.  What changed my mind was the fact that this sweetener has loads of fiber and helps to [...]

JIF Socks and Flight Home

JIF Socks

Wow, what a trip. I had so much fun visiting the Smucker company in Ohio but it’s good to me home. The trip was perfect, save for the flight delay that held me back a day. I ended up staying overnight in O’Hare and arriving home literally 5 minutes before Fuzz was to take off [...]

Tonight’s the Big Night! But the Emmy Award festivities start early. Fans in the stands and sponsors such as Duncan Hines start filling the bleachers around 11:00 AM PST. That’s where I’ll be all day, so expect a few photos and updates. I’m sure my new best friends, Elizabeth Moss from Mad …

Cupcake Courier

by Anna on February 11, 2011 · 24 comments

fuzzparty

I saw this at Costco before the holidays and resisted the temptation to throw it in the basket since I rarely transport cupcakes these days and wasn’t sure I’d use it enough to justify the $17.50.
A few weeks later, after volunteering to bring cupcakes to the Valentine’s Day party, I changed my tune and went to Costco specifically for the courier. Now I’m so glad I did because a) I had a lot of fun filling it up with cupcakes and b) it’s so sturdy I was able to carry 36 cupcakes in one hand and another box of junk in the other.

Kim Catrrall and Alex Guarnaschelli

Nobody had guessed who it was, but in an SUV heading down Broadway in the snow, non disclosures were passed out and we were told that Kim Cattrall is the new spokesperson for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. With a reputation for playing women who embrace the concept of “having it all” with a wink and a smile, she seemed like a great choice. Of course I have to admit, we were also quite star struck with the chef who was cooking the brunch, Alex Guarnaschelli
