Not just a last minute loaf, but a flavorful, light crumbed bread you'd be proud to serve -- maybe with a selection of different butters. This bread starts at 400, then you reduce the heat to 350, so don't forget to reduce the heat.
2tablespoonssesame seeds or any choice of seeds or toppings
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Have ready a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
Add the buttermilk and the sour cream and stir until mixed.
Scrape onto the parchment lined pan and shape into an oval or a round. Sprinkle top with some sort of seeds (like sesame).
Put the bread in the oven. Bake at 400 degrees f. for the first 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 and bake for another 25 minutes or until golden brown.
