Cookies with Cereal Baked In

Modified: Sep 20, 2024 · Published: Jul 11, 2010 by Anna · This post may contain affiliate links · 7 Comments

Rice Krispie Treats, Indoor S'mores and Scotcheroos are no-bake favorites, but I also love cookies where the cereal is actually baked in.   You'll find more than a few cookies with cereal recipes on Cookie Madness, but this weekend I went through and selected some of my favorites to put in a collection.  These are the ones I like best.

50 Good Cookies -- Light, sandy, not-too-sweet. These cookies have an elegant texture and would be good for teas or luncheons.

Cornflake Cookies -- I made these with glazed pecans and butterscotch chips, but you can use whatever type nuts and chips you like. This is really just a good version of the basic Corn Flake cookie.

Chips Gone Wild! -- If you can't decided what kind of chips to put in your chocolate chip cookies, this recipe uses them all.  Rice Krispies add an airy crunch and give the cookies an interesting texture.

Peanut Butter Coconut Cookies -- Again, Rice Krispies add a little crunch.  The coconut was a surpisingly good addition to a basic peanut butter cookie.

Total Chocolate Chunk Cookies -- If Total is on sale, I'll buy it just so I can make these well fortified cookies.

Chocolate Chip Cheerio --Everyone seems to like these cookies even though they sound weird.  In the photo below, I didn't chop the Cheerios very much so they have an odd appearance as well.

Kix Cookies -- Would you believe me if I said these addictive?  I made these because I was bored and had some Kix.  Now I buy Kix just to make these cookies.

Wheaties Cookies -- I posted a small batch version of these, but they're so good you might want to make the full.

I'm a huge fan of cereal in cookies-baked or not! I've tried a lot of these but will definitely try the kix and total ones sometime!

I love your collections! This one is especially unique. I don't think I've made any of these because I never have the cereals on hand. It's a great reference though, and now I'm reminded of some recipes that I really must make!
