I’ll be posting the final bake-sale recipes later, but for now, here’s a link to a non-cookie recipe I submitted to Southern Living years ago — Herbed Roast Beef with Tomato Gravy. Southern Living published the recipe (with a few modifications) in the May issue, and I am pretty excited about it. I don’t really have a lot of beef recipes in my personal collection, but this is one of our favorites.
I’m putting this in the “Easy Entrees” category.
The roast beef is just beef, but the Tomato Gravy is a little different. It’s not plain tomato or marinara sauce, but rather a tomato sauce made with tomato paste, beef broth, butter, Worcestershire Sauce, buttermilk and brown sugar. Sounds a little crazy, but it’s good.

Stacey, thanks for trying it. I don’t think they modified it too much, but I wouldn’t care if they did ;).

I want you to know I tried this over the weekend and it was simple and super tasty. Great recipe! Odd that they changed it a bit though nice to see it in print, I’m sure.

Anna, this sounds so good! I, too, am lacking in the beef recipe category. Thousands of chicken recipes, of course, but beef…not so much. Thanks and congratulations!
🙂

This sounds so delicious. I can’t wait to try it.
