    Hi Anna,I enjoy reading your blog. (Especially the wine reviews!) I was reading about your Carribean dinner. Did you use a recipe for the mango salad dressing, or was it from a bottle? If it was a recipe, can you please share it?

    Hi Maureen,I’m glad you enjoy the wine reviews!As for the mango dressing, it was a bottled dressing called “Conzorzio” (Michael Chiarello’s brand) which I picked up on a last minute whim at Central Market. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t super. It worked with the salad which was mixed greens tossed with red pepper, red onion, cashews, cilantro, pineapple, fresh ginger and lime juice, but I think a homemade mango dressing would have been better.Since I let you down with the dressing, I will give you a quick review on the wine. If you haven’t already tried it, Bonnie Doon’s Pacific Rim Riesling is outstanding and paired well with the spicy jerk chicken and the sweetness of the salad. I buy it all the time and have even warmed up to the idea of screw caps thanks to Bonnie Doon. It’s sweet, slightly evervescent, and has a lot of flavors jumping around.

    Thanks for letting me know about that dressing. I have seen it, but haven’t tried it. I won’t bothe r now. And, yes, I have had the Bonny Doon Pacific Rim Riesling. I like it a lot! Another good wine for summer by Bonny Doon, is the Vin Gris de Cigare. It is a dry rose, that is wonderful with simple grilled foods/picnic fare. Keep up the blogging… :)

    Hi Daniela,

    I send most of the stuff I make to my husband’s office. His co-workers are great testers! Sometimes I give stuff to friends. Sometimes I just scale things down (I love small batch baking) and eat it all myself.
