More fun with the baked donut pan! These chocolate chip donuts uses applesauce, spices and miniature chocolate chips. I don't have much to say about these other than that they were an excuse to use my donut pan AND that they are very good as far as baked donuts go. If you try them, let me know what you think! I'm still kind of new to baked donuts.

Baked Donut Pan
One thing I can say is if you buy a baked donut pan, you should buy a pair rather than just one. I only bought one because I make a lot of small batch recipes, but for practical purposes you'll need two pans to make a minimum of 12 baked donuts. This recipe makes 12 chocolate chip donuts, so if you only have one pan you'll have to let the batter sit while the first 6 bake.

Chocolate Chip Donuts & Apple Spice Flavor
This recipe is a good one if you like the combination of applesauce, spices and chocolate chips. It's a surprisingly good combination and you may like it even if you think you're not a chocolate plus spice person. The applesauce flavor is subtle, but pleasant.

My cupboard of bakeware overfloweth. I would have to do some culling before I could add a doughnut pan to the collection. I own three bundt pans. Surely two of those go!?
